Daily: Summer Neutrals

I promise you I’m not colorblind. Yes, I did name this post “Summer Neutrals.” Yes, there is pink in my shirt, which means you aren’t colorblind, either. But I think the pink is enough of a muted tone to warrant a neutral label. Think more along the lines of blush, and we’ll both be happy. Here’s the breakdown:

Chambray Button-Up: Garage sale
Flower Button-Up: Goodwill (J.Crew)
Trousers: Gap
Booties: Payless
Necklaces: Garage sale/American Eagle
Ring: Ann Taylor LOFT
Sunnies: Forever 21

I love the idea of summer neutrals, but because I am so pale, I feel like a true neutral would wash me out … or make me look like I’m wearing nothing (and we can’t have that). So I kept the true summer neutrals down at my feet with my new cutout booties and stuck with more saturated neutrals (Is that an oxymoron?) like gray, blush, and pale blue. The result? A different yet completely appropriate take on summer neutrals.
