Summer Nails

With this week feeling like it’s officially summer (hello, humidity), I’m in the mood to break out my summery nail polishes. These are some of my favorites, both new and old, that evoke that sense of being at the pool, watching fireworks, attending music festivals, and strolling through the farmers markets.

OPI’s Cajun Shrimp has been my favorite so far this season. Every other manicure I give myself has been this polish, and my toes will be sporting this color the rest of the summer.

For a more subtle look, I like Formula X for Sephora’s Evocative. It’s darker than my skin but somehow flattering. Normally I learn toward pinky, almost white, nudes, but Evocative has really been striking my fancy.

Of course, no nail roundup is complete without an Essie polish or two. Essie’s Maximillian Strasse Her is a great pastel, and while I tend to steer clear of pastels in favor of brights or dark neutrals, this green/blue/gray polish is a winner. Speaking of brights, Essie’s Hide and Go Chic is summer in a bottle. It’s bold and punchy and looks great on all skin tones.

What nail colors are you rocking this summer?
