Spring Break: The Parthenon

The weather here in Nashville continues to be absolutely gorgeous, so much so that we need to get cold drinks at Starbucks while walking around outside to keep cool. Yesterday’s itinerary included visiting a replica of the Parthenon in Athens, Greece, eating some amazing Mexican food downtown, and walking around downtown at night and listening to the live bands. Here’s the breakdown:

Striped Tee: Garage sale (Gap)
Shorts: Gap
Sandals: Target
Bag: Salvation Army (Lauren Ralph Lauren)
Necklace: Elder Beerman
Ring: Banana Republic
Sunglasses: TJ Maxx (Steve Madden)

I wanted to wear something that was easy, cool enough for the 83-degree weather, and walkable. Hence my trusty old Target sandals, striped tee, and my favorite jean shorts. My mom picked this bag up for me a few weeks ago at Salvation Army in brand-new condition, and I thought spring break would be the perfect time to pull it out.

Check out a few of the sights I saw yesterday (my outfit pics were taken in front of the replica Parthenon). The first picture is some of the blooms that were around the park we visited.

This is a replica statue of Athena, the Greek goddess of love. The statue was gigantic - 41 feet high.

One of the many places with live music downtown.
