Outerwear Week: Blame it on the Winter Weather
Yesterday was a gorgeous day. It was sunny and 30 degrees outside. Snow covered the ground and blinded all who looked down. It was beautiful. Just my type of day; I love wintertime. Today it’s supposed to snow 4-6 inches. Even more wonderful. Here’s the breakdown:
Leather Jacket: Elder Beerman
Fingerless gloves: Handmade
I know it seems crazy to wear a leather jacket in the middle of a midwestern winter, but as I like to wear warm sweaters (usually cashmere), I’m perfectly warm while walking around campus. Maybe sometimes a little too warm, particularly in the classroom.
I love the beret my mom made; the colors are so rich and deep and just say “cold weather” to me. I also made these fingerless gloves a few months ago, and they’re made of the warmest and softest alpaca yarn in the entire world. And, no, I’m not exaggerating.
