Olympic moose hat
Sweater: Vintage via Goodwill | Denim: Dear | Socks: Simply Vera via Kohl’s | Boots: Sole Society | Bag: Vintage Coach via Garage sale | Hat: Handknit by my mom
Call me a nerd, but I remember sitting in my college dorm room in 2010 watching the Winter Olympics (my favorite) and seeing Team USA’s Olympic moose hats. I immediately texted my mom (a genius knitter) and said, “I want one of those!” In her brilliance, she made the hat seen above from pictures of the hats. After two (almost three) years, she finally finished making mine amidst thousands of other projects she currently has going (I’m not exaggerating), and I couldn’t wait to wear it!
I paired it with this great vintage sweater I found at Goodwill the other day; it just reminds me of winter and skiing and everything I love about December through March. I thought that wearing the hat and the sweater might create a bit of a clash because both are so graphic; however, I like the result! Warm and cozy for the very chilly days we’ve been experiencing lately.
