My Make Up Bag: Fall 2010
Fall break was refreshing and relaxing. Sometimes it’s nice to get out of the dorm setting and just to sit on a real couch. And due to the fact that I was a complete slug this weekend at home and threw on some sweaters this weekend, I decided to substitute a daily outfit for a peek inside my make up bag this fall.
I’m a big fan of anything bareMinerals. I use their oil control primer due to my extremely oily face, and I also go through tons of Cover Girl’s translucent powder to try to matte that oil throughout the day, too. I also use bareMinerals’ mineral foundation and concealer; it’s absolutely amazing. You wouldn’t think that a loose powder foundation would work, but it gives tons of coverage and doesn’t cause me to break out.
I use Maybelline’s eyeshadow quartets, mostly because I love the shades of their browns. Currently my obsession is the bronze and gold color. I like the smudge it on my lower lashes, too. I also use Maybelline’s Dream Mousse Blush. I just like the fact that I can put it on with my fingers, and it blends in so naturally.
L'Oreal’s H.I.P. line is fantastic. It’s a cheaper version of M.A.C., but I think the quality is almost as good. The pigments they use are absolutely brilliant and long-lasting, so I love using their eyeshadows as eyeliners with a small angle brush. I also love their illuminating and highlighting kit.
Just two days ago I found this liquid liner on sale called Shipwreck Copper. So the name really sold it to me, but after a couple of days of using it, it’s really cool. The color is perfect for a fair-skinned person like me. And, of course, I top all that off with Clinique High Impact mascara. The best mascara I’ve found. It thickens and lasts forever.
Tomorrow I’ll be back with a daily outfit post!
