After being inspired by this post by Emily of Cupcakes and Cashmere, I’ve been putting extra glitter over my nail polish only on one finger of each hand. However, I decided to do something a little different and “glitterize” each nail by coating the tips in complementary glitter. A little something different never hurt anyone, right?

Begin with a base coat. I recommend Sally Hanson’s Hard as Nails, which not only acts as base and top coats but also strengthens nails.
Paint nails in two coats of the perfect fall cognac shade.
Use a small makeup brush to apply glitter while the last coat is still wet.
