Fall Beauty Update
Happy Monday, everyone! I'm back from a crazy past few weeks: wedding prep, the wedding, and our honeymoon! It took pretty much all last week to get back into the groove of things (work, sleep, and family life), but it feels good to be back to reality after a beautiful last few weeks. If you missed any of the action, you can catch up on my Instagram.
I'll be sharing a full-blown wedding post in a few weeks once we get pictures back, but until then, I hope to get back to regular programming. It's been nice to dive back into fall weather after a very tropical honeymoon, so I've been embracing berry tones and matte skin.
To get an autumn-feeling complexion, I've been reaching for lighter bronzer (Benefit's Hoola Lite), a white highlight (Becca's Pearl), and berry-toned blushes (NARS' Dolce Vita and Clinique's Plum Gorgeous). My go-to palette when the colder months hit is perpetually the Lorac Unzipped Eyeshadow Palette, full of cranberries, pinks, and taupes.
The real stars of the show, though, are berry lips. If you're looking for something long-lasting, I love to pair Rimmel's Under My Spell Lip Liner with NYX's Soft Matte Lip Cream in Copenhagen (and it's what I'm wearing in the photos above). If liquid lipsticks aren't your thing and you want something less drying, NYX's Devil's Food Cake Butter Gloss is a comfortable alternative. My other favorites that aren't berry-toned but are just as statement-making are NARS' Velvet Matte Lip Pencils in Cruella and Dolce Vita.
