You know those purchases you make when you see something you wouldn’t normally think is your style, but you pick it up anyways … and the more you hold it, the more it really becomes you and the more you like it? Well, I made two of those purchases this weekend, and here they are in one outfit, friends. Here’s the breakdown:
Skirt: Goodwill (J.Crew)
Boots: Salvation Army
Rings: Banana Republic/Garage sale
Bracelets: My grandma’s
Bag: Garage sale (Coach)
My blouse and boots were my aforementioned purchases. A horse-printed blouse is not necessarily my typical style, but after eyeing this blouse not once but twice at H&M, I knew its eclecticism had to come home with me. These boots were also a new purchase this past weekend via Salvation Army for $3.50. Combat boots aren’t necessarily “my thing,” either, but I think that’s exactly why they caught my eye in the first place. Twice in one weekend? I think this “finding pieces not normally my style” trend is a wave I need to continue to ride.
