Christmas around my house

Personalized gifts from friends make those gifts even sweeter.

A rustic Christmas and winter scene above our fireplace.

Christmas truly is the most wonderful time of the year. My mom, despite what she says, is quite the decorator and has such a distinct taste in how she decorates the house, no matter the season. Christmas is no different, so I thought I’d show you a peek around my house during the holiday season. Also, this will be my last post until after the holiday weekend, so have a happy, warm Christmas filled with friends, family, laughter and love.

These Cricut-made snowmen hang from our fireplace on candy-cane baker’s twine.

My mom filled glass ornament balls with curls of festive ribbons. Genius.

One of the first of many handmade ornaments that made their way home with me during my elementary school years.

A beautiful nativity scene sitting on a windowsill to remind us of the real reason Christmas is celebrated.

This tree is dedicated to silver, white and gold ornaments - basically anything that sparkles (my kind of tree).

A handmade ornament that, as I recall, made my thumbs quite sore from pressing in the pins. Funny what we remember. Merry Christmas!
