Daily: Can I Have My Camel Back?

Aren’t cameras a funny thing? I put on camel-colored pants, have my roommate take a picture, and BLAM! The color gets sucked out of my pictures. Oh, well. I guess that’s what I get for using the camera that I have. I’ll let my photography-majoring roommate have the super duper camera. Here’s the breakdown:

Chambray Button-Up: Garage sale
Sweater Bolero: Garage sale (Banana Republic)
Pants: TJ Maxx (American Eagle)
Heels: TJ Maxx (Nine West)
Belt: Garage sale
Broach: My grandma’s

I loved the neutrals in Chloe’s Fall 2010 show, and I also loved the denim/camel mix. I don’t know why I hadn’t thought of this outfit before because I thought I didn’t have a bit of camel in my closet. But it was one of those moments, once again, when suddenly I found/remembered an item I had in my closet, and it was the same feeling as finding a good deal while shopping.

So, in true Re-Mix-Her style, I’ve added my inexpensive twist on the fall trend using the chambray shirt I found at a garage sale this past summer and the ridiculously warm, Banana Republic sweater I also bought at a garage sale this summer. Seriously, this little bolero is so warm, probably because it’s made out of lamb’s wool and rabbit hair. And that’s also why it’s so soft that I want to live in it every day.

Two words: finals week.
