The Best Highlighters for Pale Skin
A surprisingly tricky subject for girls with fair skin: highlighters. Too dark, and the result is an unnatural stripe of dark shimmer. Too light, and the result is almost non-existent. Lucky for you, I've tried my fair share of luminizers. Here's the best of the best for pale girls:
The most budget-friendly is without a doubt Ulta's Illuminating Powder in Yellow Diamond. It looks stark white in the pan, but don't be fooled: It's a fairly natural-looking yellow gold highlight. If you're looking for something to spend a little more cash on, I'd suggest going for Laura Mercier's Matte Radiance Baked Highlight in Golden Nude or Becca Cosmetics' Shimmering Skin Perfector in Moonstone. Moonstone was my first-ever highlighter, so it holds a very special place in my makeup drawer. Both of these are verging on perhaps just a little too dark for the fairest of skins, but if you're careful about how much you apply, these can deliver some serious pop. The most natural-looking of the bunch is MAC's Mineralize Skinfinish in Lightscapade, which seems intimidating at first. The result is actually quite natural but quite impactful.
What's your favorite highlighter/luminizer? I'd love to know!
