A Wedding Update

Wedding season is officially upon us, and as such, I thought it was only appropriate that I update you all on my own wedding planning. Brian and I are still a little less than five months out until our October 2017 nuptials, and we've got the majority of the planning portion done. Phew!

I must admit that I've never been one to enjoy event planning (which I quickly discovered as class president in high school one year). All the moving parts stress me out and seem overwhelming; I'm much more into small details and projects. Luckily we've hired a coordinator (Hi, Stephanie!) who is amazing at what she does and is going to help us along the way. If you're in the KC area and are getting married, she's fantastic.

We printed out invites through Wedding Paper Divas, who were incredibly helpful in putting up with our wording changes mid-proofing. Invitations have (mostly) been sent out, catering tasted, cake secured, and dress and veil purchased. Flowers and centerpieces have been nailed down.

One question for my blog readers: Any suggestions for bridesmaids dresses that are 1) less than $100, 2) black, and 3) in a variety of sizes, including plus sizes? Any recommendations would be welcome!
