A merry Christmas, indeed

For the past three days, I’ve had all electronics and distractions stuffed in my bag and have allowed my family and the Christmas holiday to have my full attention. I may have turned my computer on once during the entire weekend, just to check the occasional email. I must say that it felt nice to get a break from my computer; I thought I’d never admit that in my lifetime. Here’s the breakdown:

Blazer: Old Navy
Turtleneck: Banana Republic via Goodwill
Beaded Tank: Ann Taylor via Garage sale
Pants: Lauren Ralph Lauren via Garage sale
Flats: American Eagle
Bag: Brahmin (c/o)
Earrings: H&M

Despite not having the traditional white Christmas, I decided to get a little festive, anyway. I paired my ever-present-on-Christmas-Eve beaded tank (which weighs about 10 ten pounds) with something a little unusual for me: velvet. While I’m not necessarily a velvet girl, I couldn’t help but feel a little luxe lounging in the pants all day with my cozy merino wool turtleneck. Before heading to a Christmas Eve service, I added a little more pizzaz with the beaded tank and a velvet blazer on top. Merry Christmas (Eve), indeed!
