The Classic Summer Nail Shade
My first Chanel beauty purchase was the summer between my junior and senior year of college. I was nearing the end of my first internship with a publishing house, and as a reminder of the importance of that first internship and all I learned, I bought Chanel's Vamp nail polish. I had seen it in a magazine a few years prior, and it was always on my wish list. I still have the bottle and use it occasionally, but the formula manages to chip ridiculously quickly for the amount of money I paid.
When I heard Chanel had reformulated their nail polish to make it more long-lasting, I wanted to give it a try to see if it was really any different from the original formula. I bought Espadrille, a vibrant orange with hints of red to it, back in May. It was pretty obvious from the get-go that the formula was different; it was thicker and only took one coat to look perfect. I've worn it for more than a week without it chipping, which is quite the improvement from the original formula.
I wore Espadrille almost the entire month of June, and I've pretty much painted my nails with it every other color switch. It's bright and vibrant, and I have the feeling I'll even be wearing it well into the fall. (Next on my list to purchase: Garçonne.)
