The Winter Hair Cure-All
I got my hair cut last week, and while I was talking with my hair dresser, I mentioned just how dry and dead the ends of my hair felt. My hair dresser said this winter has been particularly harsh on women's hair, and I don't doubt it. I've been on the hunt for a shampoo and conditioner that's hydrating without the heavy, greasy feeling that often accompanies anything labeled as hydrating.
When L'Oreal sent me their Extraordinary Oil Curls System (shampoo, conditioner, mask, and serum), I was skeptical. I've tried hydrating systems in the past that have weighed down my hair and were difficult to wash out of my hair, giving it a stringy, greasy, oily look. That's the opposite of what washing your hair should do for you. Spoiler: The new L'Oreal line is perfection.
The shampoo cleanses my hair without making it feel completely stripped and lifeless, and the deep conditioner and serum work to reinforce the hydration and keep my curls soft and frizz-free without becoming heavy. But the real gem of the system is the conditioner; it has made my hair feel soft and healthy unlike any conditioner or mask I've ever tried, and my hair drinks it up. I'm looking forward to spending the rest of the winter with happy hair.
I'm going to be taking a break from posting until next Tuesday because I'm heading to Colorado with some friends for a ski/snowshoe trip. Make sure you're following me on Instagram and Snapchat (username: remixher) to keep up with our adventures!
