Lorac Mega Pro 2 Palette Review | Re-Mix-Her

If you missed my latest Everyday Makeup Drawer video, I made a pact with myself this year to make the most out of the eyeshadow palettes I already own—and part of that is setting a few on my vanity each month specifically for me to use and test hardcore. This month, one of the lucky ones is the Lorac Mega Pro 2 palette . . . which was a holiday 2015 exclusive. I know what you're thinking: Why are you talking about a palette we can't buy from retail anymore, Caitlin? If you're really serious about buying it, there's always ebay (and you might want to check your local Ulta to see if they have any left in stock), but this review really extends to all the Lorac palettes, particularly the Lorac Pro Palette 1 and the Lorac Pro Palette 2, which are quite similar in formula and texture . . . and even in color in some cases.

In my opinion, the Lorac eyeshadows are some of the best. They're always particularly pigmented, whether they're matte or shimmery. They're extremely buttery, almost to the point of exploding if you press your brush in them a little too hard. The palettes run a bit pricey, but if you have the room in your budget to pick up either of the regular pro palettes, you won't be disappointed. Keep an eye out next holiday season for a third Mega Pro Palette, too; fingers crossed that will happen!

If you happened to pick up a Mega Pro 2 Palette or have some left at your local Ulta, what are some of your favorite colors? I find myself gravitating toward Dk. Sienna, Prosecco, Seashell, Bisque, and Gold Leaf the most. I've swatched all the colors, but I need to dig into the colors that I wouldn't naturally lean toward (like the lighter, brighter purples and that incredible sapphire shade).

Have you tried any of the Lorac eyeshadows before? I'd love to know what your favorite palettes are!
