My Perfect Nude Lip
A good nude lipstick is surprisingly hard to come by. Too dark, and your lips look like a '90s revival. Too light, and you look like you've smeared concealer all over your lips. A safe bet is usually a pink-toned nude, but if you're looking for the perfect neutral nude without too much pink and without too much yellow, you'll want to hop into your car to your local Sephora.
Enter Moody Margot, from Marc Jacobs' lipstick line. I have an older formula of this lipstick, and it has since been reformulated to be slightly sheerer. However, the color hasn't changed; it's a neutral nude that won't make your lips look like they've had the life sucked out of them. It's not the most long-wearing of formulas, but that's the great thing about nude lips: no fuss, easy touch-ups, and no need to worry about noticeable fading. To add a little bit of shine and pop, I've been layering a bit of Stila Magnificent Metals lip gloss in Kitten on top. This has been my go-to lip combo whenever I've been wearing slightly warmer colors and eyeshadows.
